World Bank Confirms Continued Support for Peace, Social Inclusion and Economic Transition in Myanmar

To foster peace in all States and Regions, the World Bank remains engaged to support Myanmar’s
historic transition consistent with government priorities, with an increased focus on social inclusion in
conflict areas. Since its re-engagement in Myanmar in 2012, the World Bank has committed US$2 billion
in soft financing to support economic transition and peace building.
